Casey Anthony to Make Another Court Appearance?

The "most hated mom in America" may be set to make another court appearance in the near future. Nearly 10 years after he found the body of Caylee Anthony, Roy Kronk is asking a judge to rule in favor of his defamation suit against Casey Anthony moving to trial. Kronk claims that he was wrongly accused of killing Caylee and planting her remains. His attorney has asked that the trial be held in the very same court where Casey Anthony was acquitted and that private investigator Dominic Casey be allowed to testify. Readers may remember that Casey has alleged that Anthony paid Jose Baez for his legal services with sexual favors. As of now, no decisions have been made regarding Kronk's request.

It's hard to believe that is has been 10 years since Caylee Anthony's death. While many of us haven't moved on from the shocking verdict, it seems that at least one person has, Casey Anthony herself. She is now living with and working for another investigator who was involved in her case, Pat McKenna. Last year she told an AP reporter that she didn't do what she was accused of and she sleeps very well at night.

According to sources, she did not watch the A&E special featuring her parents that aired last month, but she did read about it online and is tired of her father blaming her for Caylee's death. She continues to remain estranged from George Anthony, which isn't surprising given the accusations that were leveled against him during her murder trial.

Golden State Killer Suspect Makes Another Court Appearance; Warrant Details Expected to be Released This Friday

As Joseph James DeAngelo made another court appearance on Tuesday, this time in a cage instead of a wheelchair, Judge Michael Sweet indicated that at least part of the court documents detailing how police identified DeAngelo as the GSK will be unsealed. The documents include a list of items, possibly trophies from GSK crime scenes, seized from DeAngelo's property. They also include notes from lead investigators. However, according to the defense, they do not include many details about the genealogical methods used to identify DeAngelo. While many investigative details are expected to be released to the public, both the prosecution and defense teams are reviewing the documents line by line in an effort to determine which parts should be redacted. All sides are reluctant to include names and other details identifying victims of GSK's many sexual assaults. Unsolved Murder Roundup

While the true crime community is celebrating, and rightfully so, the capture of the Golden State Killer, it looks like there is still a lot of work to do when it comes to clearing unsolved murders. The OC Register provided a breakdown of reported vs cleared homicides and surprisingly, given all the breakthroughs in technology, we've actually gotten worse at clearing cases. Hopefully, despite the grim statistics, the following cases and the victims involved will receive some justice. Navy veteran James Weaver was brutally murdered while babysitting his 9-month-old grandson. 33 years later, the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office is hoping that some new DNA submissions will lead to a break in the case.
